This 8 week research based training on mindfulness offers a full introduction to this way of being that is becoming increasingly popular to leaders in the workplace globally and for understandable reasons. This Mindfulness program from positivepsychology.com is based on extensive research and tells us there are many benefits. Research has shown that people who are more mindful are in general happier and report less anxiety, depressive discomforts, anger, and worries. A higher degree of mindfulness is also associated with reduced stress and increased gratitude, hope, and vitality.
In this training, we will devote attention to the processes that underlie mindfulness and explore scientific findings related to mindfulness. This training provides participants a better, more complete understanding of mindfulness.
Mindfulness is a lot more than a strategy to manage difficult situations. It is a way to cultivate a more balanced relationship to oneself in relation to the realities of life. Mindfulness can better be understood as a way of being and living rather than a tactic or strategy for life. It entails many different facets and elements. By choosing one specific element of mindfulness to study and practice on a weekly basis, we hope that over time you will experience an in depth understanding of the fulsome nature of mindfulness.

Silencing Inner Critics
The inner critic, also known as the inner judge, super ego and my least favourite, the itty, bitty shitty committee. My least favourite because the latter title diminishes how debilitating the inner critic can be. It can sabotage our life and lead to depression and in some cases an extreme inner critic can lead to suicide attempts or even suicide. That’s not to be downplayed or diminished. The inner critic is a sub-personality that is formed in childhood. It may have been from the messaging we received at home and/or by witnessing dysfunctional behaviour toward us or close family members.
As we grow up, we unconsciously take on this pattern of destructive thinking towards ourselves and others. When we are unconscious with our inner critic, we may even believe some of the awful messages it gives us and it can greatly impact the direction of our lives leading us to live in a far more limited way than if we have a quieter inner critic. It may sabotage our success or relationships, and any potentially fulfilling creative project that may be truly important to us.
It’s not possible to completely eradicate the inner critic but it is possible to silence it greatly and to reduce the length of time it runs the show when it shows up. Believe it or not your inner critic is trying to help you by trying to keep you safe but it’s also obsessed with keeping the status quo.
Even though it can have a positive intention in your life, it can stop you from trying new things and taking risks that are necessary steps on your journey to achieving your dreams and aspirations.
Through coaching you may encounter a very strong inner critic at times which is why I offer this training so as to arm coaching clients with the tools they need to overcome the limitations of an active, loud and debilitating inner critic.
In this 3 session course, we will explore;

What is the inner critic and how can I recognise when I’m under attack?

How I can defend from attack or befriend the attacker.

Empowering Women
One of the greatest benefits of my work is that I get to empower other women and support them in stepping up in their leadership roles and with their confidence. We need more female, emotionally aware leaders with levels of sensitivity who truly care for and value themselves and their teams.
In this 4 week online training, we look at the lengths we go to as women to fit in and maintain harmony and the detrimental effect it can have on us.
We look at the possibility of standing up and stepping up in our lives and possibly making waves and how to do it in a way that excites us and inspires us with plenty of support. We will also look at aspects of the female psyche that don’t often get to see the light of day and once exposed can free us up to live a more empowered life.
